Citadel Source is delighted to be working with the UK’s largest educational tour operator; NST Travel Group, part of the PGL Beyond Group. The business is expanding its FP&A team and is subsequently looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join them, supporting the highly successful business in driving even stronger performance, and delivering sustainable profit growth through insight generation from accurate, timely and robust reporting.

The Role

The Senior Finance Analyst, reporting to the FP&A Manager, will operate as the sole business partner to the leadership team in Blackpool, managing and reviewing the P&L and holding monthly/quarterly reviews to assess business performance.

You will lead the budget and forecast process for all P&L lines relating to the NST brands, as well as support the wider finance team with the production of management accounts.

About you

This opportunity would suit a data-driven accountant, who has experience building financial models and an understanding of the budgeting/forecasting process. The successful candidate will have a commercial mindset, with a desire to get stuck in and be impactful.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, your role will include but not be limited to:

• Hold periodic overhead reviews with key stakeholders highlighting significant cost variances and identifying appropriate mitigation where required
• Build, develop and analyse brand and destination profitability analysis, identifying trends and anomalies 
• Establish relationships with key stakeholders across the NST brands
• Lead quarterly business reviews with a focus on emerging trends, product profitability and routes for further profit growth.
• Create, develop and maintain an NST reporting suite that illustrates business performance with the aim of enabling decision-makers to drive profitability growth
• Work with the management team to identify business KPIs, methods of measurement and aligned criteria for success.
• Manage budget and forecast cycles for NST brands including, sales, margin and overheads, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and in a timely manner

• A salary of up to £51,000
