Citadel Source are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a market-leading travel group that provides summer/activity camps and school trips for children; PGL Beyond. The business is expanding its FP&A team and is subsequently looking for an FP&A Manager to join them, taking ownership of two of the group’s subsidiaries, PGL Australia and TravelWorks, as well as acting as the core business partner to the CFO and CEO 

The role 

The FP&A Manager will play a pivotal role in owning the PGL Beyond finance model and CAPEX process, leading the group budget and forecast cycles, and supporting strategic decision-making at board level.  

The role will also be responsible for the management of two members of staff, a Senior Finance Analyst and a Finance Business Partner, with the former supporting in management of the corporate model and budgeting/forecasting, while the latter is responsible for partnering with the business on all things relating to capital. 

About you 

This opportunity will suit a commercially focussed business partner who is looking for a step up into a senior commercial finance role, having led robust budgeting and forecasting processes throughout their career. The successful candidate will be highly analytical and see the value in driving clear and accessible data/MI throughout the business, implementing thorough processes and building high-quality dashboards and financial models. 

As the FP&A Manager your role will include but not be limited to 

  • Coordinating the budget and forecast cycles for the group, including owning the budget timetable 

  • FP&A business partnering for two of the subsidiaries (PGL Australia and Travelworks) alongside being the business partner for Finance and IT 

  • Owning the PGL corporate model which projects long-term income statements, balance sheets and liquidity positions for the group, working with the Head of FP&A and CFO to continually update and amend the model to be reflective of business changes 

  • Establishing a Live Forecasting process within PGL Beyond 

  • Managing the CAPEX spend for the group and leading the budgeting and forecasting process 

  • Distilling complex financial models into easy-to-understand, actionable insight 

  • Creating and supporting the development plan for junior members of the team 

What the client has to offer  

  • A salary of up to £64,000 

  • 10% bonus 

  • Hybrid working, twice a week in Ross-on-Wye.
