The role

Forming part of the FP&A team, the Commercial Finance Analyst will play a key role in analysing and reporting on business performance across multiple revenue streams. This is a highly visible position within the finance function, supporting operational stakeholders and contributing to informed commercial decision-making across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this position will support the delivery of valuable MI across the wider business, regularly partnering across operations/marketing on a month-to-month basis.

About you

You are naturally curious, with a genuine desire to understand the story behind the numbers. You will likely be studying towards or planning to begin a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA and are keen to apply your learning within a practical, fast-paced environment. You are confident working with large volumes of data and enjoy transforming complex information into clear, meaningful information that supports decision-making. Comfortable building relationships across the business, you communicate with clarity and credibility, adapting your approach to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Above all, you are proactive, detail-oriented and motivated to make a tangible impact.

As the Commercial Finance Analyst, your role will include but not be limited to:

• Reporting on daily revenue and margin performance
• Assisting in the preparation and production of weekly trading and performance presentations
• Producing budgets, forecasts and latest outlooks, ensuring a high degree of accuracy due to cash flow implications
• Producing and analysing divisional P&Ls and associated KPIs
• Preparing monthly performance packs for Senior Management
• Supporting the production of quarterly business review packs
• Interpreting financial and management information in a clear and concise manner
• Reviewing, analysing and assisting with the sign-off of month-end costs
• Supporting operational managers with P&L queries
• Delivering ad-hoc performance and commercial analysis, including promotional or strategic initiative reviews
