Citadel Source are delighted to be seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to join our client, a well-established business in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of the accounts payable function within a supportive and fast-paced finance environment.
About you
You will have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You will be a confident communicator who can build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing the accounts payable process, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time while maintaining robust financial controls.
As an Accounts Payable Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function
- Ensure all supplier invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Review and approve invoice coding and ensure correct cost allocation
- Prepare and oversee supplier payment runs in line with company procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving queries efficiently
- Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor and improve accounts payable processes and controls
- Support month-end activities, including accruals and reporting related to payables
- Assist with financial reporting and provide insight into accounts payable performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and internal controls
- Support and mentor junior members of the finance team where required
