Citadel Source are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a fast-growing and highly ambitious organisation to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a newly enhanced role within the finance team and represents an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant to play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, operational control, commercial insight, and business performance. 

About you

You’re an organised and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in management accounting, financial control, payroll operational finance, commercial finance, systems, reporting & process improvement. 

As a Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts preparation across multiple entities 
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll and commission accruals 
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances 
• Maintain the fixed asset register and associated accounting
• Produce profit centre reporting with detailed variance analysis
• Support monthly and annual reporting requirements
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory accounting support
• Support maintenance and improvement of financial controls and processes

What the client is looking for

• Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Previous experience within a management accounting experience 
• A strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes 
• Strong Excel skills 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Comfortable working in a hands on environment 
• Experience in professional services or a similar industry 
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and commercial finance activities
