About you

You will possess a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on delivery capability, with experience of designing and implementing finance operating models, improving finance processes, and delivering systems and digital transformation initiatives. You will be an engaging leader who can build strong relationships across Finance, IT, Operations and Commercial teams, influencing stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and leveraging technology to create more efficient, scalable finance operations.

The role

Reporting into the Finance Director and working closely with the wider finance leadership team, this is a critical role responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s finance transformation strategy while ensuring operational excellence across core finance services. You will lead the development and implementation of a finance transformation roadmap, oversee key systems and digital initiatives, and drive improvements across finance processes, controls, governance, and reporting. The role combines strategic leadership with practical execution, requiring someone who can translate long-term vision into measurable outcomes.

As the Fin Ops Transformation Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the optimisation and performance of global PTP and OTC processes, designing and delivering initiatives that enhance service quality, standardisation, and efficiency
• Conduct needs assessments across policy, technology, data, and process requirements, developing solutions and initiating change requests where needed
• Identify and drive simplification, standardisation, and automation opportunities, bringing external best practices and market insights into the operating model
• Partner with functional leaders and regional markets to strengthen collaboration, review service performance, manage SLAs, and identify improvement opportunities
• Build strong relationships with finance leadership and global teams to evolve services, develop consistent global policies, and enhance the enabling technology landscape
• Work closely with BPO Process Leads to review performance, challenge existing practices, and embed continuous improvement
• Provide consulting expertise, lead change initiatives, and conduct stakeholder assessments to anticipate needs and align priorities with enterprise objectives
• Develop deep subject matter expertise to support high‑priority stakeholder needs, promote informed risk‑taking, and act as a catalyst for innovation and practical problem‑solving
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge to support global consistency and exceptional performance, co‑developing implementation plans that consider cultural nuances

What the client is looking for

• Relevant experience working in a similar PTP or O2C process role within a large organisation or GBS (Global Business Services) organisation
• Previous experience participating in the development of business strategy
• Knowledge of PTP and OTC processes and experience of associated technologies, and data quality applications
• Demonstrated history of recognition as a PTP or OTC expert in previous organisation
• Ability to apply expertise to the most complex problems; coordinating work outside own area of expertise
• Clear, concise, confident, and thorough understanding of the fundamental principles in accounting and financial statements
• A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing high-performing teams
