Citadel Source is proud to be partnering with a well-recognised and established company in Bath to recruit a Senior Finance Officer to join their team.

 

The role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to play a key role in driving continuous improvement. The main purpose of the role is to oversee financial inputs and manage outputs across multiple regions and a broad range of accounting activities.

 

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment, with strong General Ledger (GL) experience and a solid understanding of debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping. Previous experience of intercompany postings and fixed asset accounting is essential. Alongside your strong GL accounting background, you will also have a genuine interest in AI automation and emerging technologies, with the enthusiasm to explore how these tools can improve and transform finance processes.

 

You will be comfortable working in a high-volume environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will be AAT qualified or part-qualified in ACCA or CIMA. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role will involve regular interaction with senior stakeholders across the business. You will be confident, clear, and professional in your communication, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

 

As a Senior Finance Officer, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Managing intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
  • Leading fixed asset accounting activities
  • Delivering accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting month-end ledger close processes
  • Overseeing general ledger accounting activities
  • Managing cash allocations and timesheet movements
  • Supporting the implementation of AI, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes
