This is a high-profile leadership opportunity, forming a key part of the senior leadership team and driving financial performance, commercial decision-making and business transformation across a large, complex operation.

The role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, this is a broad finance leadership role encompassing FP&A, Commercial Finance and Financial Control. Leading an established finance function, you will partner closely with stakeholders across operations, commercial and technology to support performance, drive continuous improvement and influence strategic decision-making. Alongside ownership of core finance activities, you will play a key role in ongoing transformation initiatives, helping to strengthen reporting, governance, systems and data-driven decision-making across the business.

About you

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong leadership capability and a commercially focused mindset. You will have experience operating within a complex business environment, partnering senior stakeholders, leading teams and influencing decision-making through high-quality financial insight. You will be comfortable challenging constructively, driving change and balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.

As a Divisional Finance Director, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and develop a sizeable finance team, building capability and succession plans
• Partner with senior leaders to drive business performance and strategic decision-making
• Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
• Deliver meaningful FP&A, commercial insight and performance analysis
• Support investment decisions, business cases and strategic initiatives
• Drive financial control, governance and compliance activities
• Enhance reporting, management information and KPI frameworks
• Champion data-led decision-making across the organisation
• Support finance transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives
• Lead finance involvement in major systems and change programmes
• Build strong relationships across both local and group stakeholder communities
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and overall business performance
