Citadel Source is delighted to partner with a growing accountancy practice in North Somerset to support the recruitment of their new Practice Manager.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern and growing accountancy practice during a key stage of its development. Reporting directly into the leadership team, the Practice Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of clients, providing a high-quality accounting, tax and advisory service while helping to shape the future growth of the business. The role combines technical accounting and taxation expertise with relationship management and commercial advisory responsibilities. You will work closely with SME and owner-managed business clients, supporting them with compliance obligations, proactive planning and strategic decision-making. As the firm continues to expand, you will also play an important part in supporting junior staff, identifying growth opportunities and contributing to the ongoing success of the practice. Initially, the position will be fully remote, offering flexibility and autonomy, with the opportunity to work from a future office location as the business continues to grow.

About you

We’re seeking a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with previous accountancy practice experience and the confidence to independently manage a portfolio of clients. You will possess excellent technical knowledge across accounting and taxation, alongside strong communication and relationship-building skills. This role suits someone commercially minded, proactive and self-motivated, who enjoys delivering exceptional client service while supporting the growth of a modern and ambitious practice.

As the Practice Manager, your role will include, but will not be limited to:

• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
• Reviewing statutory accounts and supporting their preparation where required
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
• Providing personal tax planning and compliance support
• Advising clients on business, tax and financial matters
• Managing client queries and delivering an excellent client experience
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members as the practice grows
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the practice
• Utilising Xero and other cloud-based systems to support clients effectively

• Salary £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
