Job Description

Citadel Source is partnering with a growing, international organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business on an exciting transformation journey, where you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting, and supporting the implementation of a new ERP system. The business has recently returned to profitability and is positioning itself for significant future growth and a potential exit event over the coming years.

The role

Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of the finance function's day-to-day operations, acting as the key person for financial accounting, audit management, treasury, reporting, and regulatory compliance. This is a broad and hands-on role that offers genuine autonomy and the opportunity to influence how finance supports the wider business. You will also play a leading role in the implementation of a new ERP system, helping to modernise processes, improve reporting capabilities, and drive efficiencies across the finance function.

About you

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong grounding in financial accounting, controls, and statutory reporting. Experience gained within practice, particularly a Big Four or Top 10 environment, would be advantageous, alongside experience within a growing SME or international business. You will be someone who enjoys improving processes, taking ownership, and operating in an environment where change and continuous improvement are encouraged. Exposure to ERP implementations, particularly Business Central, would be highly desirable.

As a Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Owning the month-end process and production of financial reporting packs
  • Acting as the primary contact for auditors and supporting year-end statutory reporting
  • Overseeing transactional finance activities and supporting the development of the wider finance team
  • Managing treasury activities, cashflow, banking relationships, and payment runs
  • Taking ownership of VAT compliance across multiple international jurisdictions
  • Supporting payroll processing and wider financial controls
  • Leading the implementation of a new Microsoft Business Central ERP system
  • Driving process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements
  • Contributing to ongoing business transformation initiatives and future transaction readiness activities

What the client has to offer

  • Salary up to £65,000, with some flexibility for exceptional candidates
  • Hybrid working, typically 2-3 days in the office
  • Private healthcare
  • Company pension scheme
  • 25 days holiday, increasing with service to 30 days
  • Flexible working hours - 35 hour working week
  • Exposure to ERP implementation, business transformation, and commercial decision-making
  • The opportunity to join a successful turnaround story and play a key role in the next phase of growth
  • A collaborative, supportive culture with regular social and team events
