The role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will act as a true business partner to a range of internal stakeholders, including the Sales Director, CFO, and wider Sales team; tailoring reporting to suit a mix of financial and non-financial audiences while driving visibility, clarity, and commercial insight.
About you
The ideal candidate will be a newly qualified or finalist accountant with a strong management accounting background, looking to make a step into a true business partnering role and gain more commercial exposure. You will be Excel savvy with an analytical mindset and data-focused approach, able to extract and analyse commercial information to inform decision-making.
As the Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting process, including P&L, BS and cashflow modelling
- Analyse variance to budget and utilise the commercial data to inform decision-making
- Act as the business partner to the Sales Director and Sales team, developing and tailoring regular reports to provide visibility on key metrics
- Liaise with the IT team to set up the automation of new/existing reports
- Support on strategic decision-making exercises, such as new product analysis, pricing, and product initiatives
- Interrogate monthly cost centre reports to understand variances to budget/forecast
- Support the Head of Commercial Finance with other adhoc tasks as required
What the client offers
- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (£50,000–£55,000 pro-rata for 0.6–0.8 FTE)
- Hybrid working, 60% office-based in Trowbridge
