Citadel Source is delighted to partner DeGould to support the search for their newly created Finance Manager role, reporting directly to the CFO and being brought in to enhance FP&A capabilities within this fast-growing and highly dynamic business.

As part of this journey, the business is seeking to add a new Finance Manager to the team.
The role
Based on-site in Exeter and reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Manager will take on a broad remit covering financial management, planning, analysis, and process improvement. You will be a key business partner to senior stakeholders, providing the insights needed to support informed decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
About you
You will be a forward-thinking qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with a genuine passion for using data to create value and guide decision-making. Adaptable and comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment, you will naturally gravitate towards business partnering and analytics, looking beyond historical figures to deliver forward-focused insights. A collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills at all levels, you will also bring a proactive approach and a keen eye for developing and improving processes.
As the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Business partnering across departmental stakeholders. Working with the CFO to develop KPIs and supporting analysis to provide further insight to leadership team to support strategic decision making and drive efficiency
- Financial planning and analysis, including the preparation and maintenance of forecasts and budgets and progress analysis
- Collaborate in the production of detailed management accounts with supporting commentary and analysis
- Risk management, identifying and mitigating financial risk and ensuring robust controls and systems are in in place to protect the Company. Proactive in looking for ways to create and improve internal processes and controls where necessary
- Stakeholder management, from auditors, tax advisors and lawyers, to investors and any regulatory bodies
- Capital management, overseeing liquidity and working capital requirements
- Oversight of compliance responsibilities, from VAT and payroll to statutory accounts and R&D
- Ensure accuracy of data entry to the accounting system and completeness of journalled transactions
- Support the CFO with other ad-hoc project work
