Job Description

Citadel Source is delighted to be working with a well-established client in the City Centre, who is seeking a Temporary Payroll/Benefits Assistant. This role is initially offered on a 3-month contract basis; however, for the right candidate, there is potential for the position to be extended or to become permanent.

 

To be considered for this role, you must be immediately available or able to start at very short notice.

 

About you

To succeed in this role, you must have strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory calculations, experience with salary sacrifice schemes in line with HMRC rules, and familiarity with company and auto-enrolment pensions, including reconciliation and payments.

 

The role

You will support the development and implementation of benefits policies, liaise with providers, and work closely with the Payroll Manager and Offshore team to ensure benefits are processed accurately and on time through payroll.

 

As a Payroll/Benefits Assistant, your role will include, but not be limited to: 

  • Manage employee benefits queries and escalations
  • Support the Payroll Manager with benefits administration and provider relationships
  • Process benefits registrations, changes and leavers
  • Act as a key contact for internal and external benefits queries
  • Maintain benefits documentation and procedures
  • Support benefits communications and renewals
  • Provide general administrative support
  • Assist with overpayments reporting and recovery

 

What the client has to offer

  • £15 - £17 per hour
  • Hybrid role: 1 day per week in the office (full-time in-office during training)
