Citadel Source are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, purpose led services business, currently looking to appoint a Finance Operations Manager to support the Financial Controller in leading and developing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. About you
You are an experienced finance operations professional with previous leadership or supervisory experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You enjoy improving processes, implementing best practice, and creating efficient finance functions that can support business growth. You're commercially minded, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy partnering with operational teams to deliver meaningful improvements.
As a Finance Operations Manager, your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Overseeing AP and AR invoice processing to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Managing and continuously improving the purchase order process
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Overseeing the company expense management system and supporting users across the business
- Managing supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Acting as the primary finance contact for Local Authority customers
- Producing regular AP and AR reporting for the Financial Controller
- Driving the development and optimisation of the NetSuite ERP system to maximise functionality
- Designing and implementing scalable transactional finance processes, systems, and controls
- Supporting monthly reporting, KPI development, and financial performance analysis across multiple sites
- Partnering with operational teams to improve financial visibility and support business performance
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Supporting finance strategy and wider business projects as the company continues to grow
- Managing day-to-day stakeholder queries and providing guidance to the wider business
What the client is looking for
- Previous experience within a Finance Operations Manager, Transactional Finance Manager, AP & AR Manager, or similar role
- Strong experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a transactional finance team
- Proven ability to improve finance processes, controls, and systems
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across the business
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Experience using NetSuite would be highly advantageous
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment
