Citadel Source is exclusively partnering with an ambitious and growing organisation to recruit a Head of Finance. This is a key leadership appointment for a qualified accountant seeking a broad and influential role within a complex, fast-moving business environment.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the finance function, driving financial control, performance reporting, commercial insight and continuous improvement across the organisation. With significant exposure to the executive leadership team and board, this position offers the opportunity to shape finance operations, influence business performance and support a growing organisation through its next phase of development and transformation.

The role

As Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation whilst partnering with stakeholders across the business to enhance financial performance, strengthen controls and improve reporting capability.

As Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Owning month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial information
• Maintaining robust financial controls, governance frameworks, and balance sheet integrity across the organisation
• Partnering with senior operational stakeholders to drive profitability, challenge assumptions and identify performance improvement opportunities
• Supporting cashflow management, working capital optimisation and investment appraisal activities
• Driving improvements across finance systems, reporting, automation, and data utilisation to enhance efficiency and scalability
• Collaborating with Finance Business Partners and functional leaders to improve financial understanding across the wider organisation
• Managing relationships with auditors, advisers, and other external stakeholders
• Supporting strategic projects, business change initiatives and organisational growth plans as required

About you

You will be an engaging and commercially minded finance leader, capable of balancing strong technical accounting expertise with strategic thinking and operational delivery.

The successful candidate will possess:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Proven experience operating within a senior finance leadership role
• A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with a passion for driving positive change and continuous improvement
• The ability to operate effectively both strategically and hands-on when required

• Competitive salary of £75,000 - £85,000
