About the client

Our client is a highly successful, consumer-focused organisation with a strong presence across the UK and international markets. Backed by a clear growth strategy and significant investment, the business is focused on enhancing operational excellence, scaling capability, and delivering sustainable long-term growth. As part of this journey, the business is seeking an experienced Finance Director to partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team. This individual will play a key role in modernising the finance function, improving planning and reporting processes, and embedding a high-performance culture across the wider organisation.

About you

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with extensive experience operating in a senior finance leadership position previously. You will be comfortable influencing executive stakeholders, leading sizeable teams, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Experience within international businesses, private equity-backed organisations, or periods of significant business change would be highly advantageous.

The role

This is a pivotal leadership role with the opportunity to shape the future of a global finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Finance Director will lead Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Control, and Finance Transformation, ensuring the business has the insight, governance, and financial discipline to deliver its ambitious growth plans. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while driving improvements across processes, systems, reporting, and team capability.

As the Finance Director, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead group budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Provide commercial insight and strategic financial advice to the CFO, executive team, and Board
• Strengthen financial control, governance, reporting standards, audit readiness, and internal controls across the group
• Analyse pricing, margins, customer profitability, operating costs, investment decisions, and ROI performance
• Drive finance transformation, improving systems, automation, reporting capability, data quality, and process efficiency
• Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and actions that support EBITDA, cash flow, and growth targets
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing finance team, building capability, accountability, and future leadership strength

• £120,000 - £140,000 basic salary depending on experience
