Citadel Source is delighted to be partnering with a Herefordshire-based organisation undergoing continued growth, to support the recruitment of their new Management Accountant on an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract.

About you

You’re an organised and detail‑oriented finance professional with experience in management accounting, financial control, reporting and process improvement. You bring strong technical accounting knowledge, a proactive approach to improving processes, and confidence working across a fast‑paced environment with multiple stakeholders. You’re analytical, well‑organised, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining high levels of financial accuracy and compliance.

As a Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Ownership of monthly management accounts preparation across multiple entities
• Leading the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Preparing and posting journals including revenue, cost of sales, accruals and prepayments
• Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances
• Producing profit centre reporting with detailed variance analysis
• Supporting monthly and annual reporting requirements, including Board and senior management reporting
• Assisting with year‑end audit preparation and statutory accounting support
• Supporting the maintenance and improvement of financial controls and processes
• Providing financial support to operational teams and commercial stakeholders
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting activities

What the client is looking for

• Fully Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
• Proven experience in a management accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial processes, controls and data integrity
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced environment
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider commercial finance activity

What the client has to offer

• Base salary of between £45,000 and £55,000 (DOE)
• Hybrid working (2-3 days on-site)
