Citadel Source is delighted to partner with a growing organisation to support the recruitment of their new Interim Finance Manager on an initial 6 month FTC. 

The role

The role will provide essential support to the senior management accountant by taking full ownership of a major business unit and easing month‑end pressure across the finance function. It will play a key part in consolidating multiple acquired legal entities into a single trading structure, working closely with external advisors throughout the process. A core focus will be improving and rebuilding month‑end processes, reconciliations and reporting tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy and visibility. The position will strengthen financial insight across revenue, margin, cash flow and working capital for a fast‑growing, multi‑site organisation, while partnering with finance and operational stakeholders to streamline workflows, challenge assumptions and embed stronger financial discipline. It will deliver meaningful analysis, variance commentary and actionable insight to support operational decision‑making, alongside identifying opportunities to automate, simplify and standardise processes across reporting, reconciliations and entity management. Finally, the role will contribute to wider transformation initiatives, including structural changes, systems improvements and the scaling of finance processes to support continued growth.

About you

We’re seeking a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong grounding in financial and management accounting. You will bring experience developing or mentoring junior staff and have a genuine interest in technology‑enabled finance - ERP systems, automation, BI tools, and modern digital processes. You’ll be comfortable operating in both detailed and higher‑level oversight, with strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business. This role suits someone proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement, with the confidence to lead, coach and influence.

As the Finance Manager, your role will include, but will not be limited to:

• Proven capability in improving and redesigning month‑end processes, reconciliations and reporting structures.
• Strong analytical skills, able to interpret high‑volume operational data and translate it into clear actions and recommendations.
• Experience supporting consolidation projects, restructures or multi‑entity environments.
• Confident business partner able to work with senior stakeholders, challenge constructively and influence operational teams.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, acquisition‑driven environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a senior technical sounding board within the finance team.
• Experience within multi‑site, high‑volume or consumer‑facing industries beneficial.
