Citadel Source is partnering on an exclusive basis with a well-established organisation based in South-West of Bristol to recruit an experienced Payroll Lead on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a key role supporting the business through a busy period, with the potential for the contract to be extended.

Due to the nature of this requirement, you must be available at short notice or immediately available to be considered

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll function across the group. You will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in line with current legislation, while acting as the key point of contact for payroll-related matters across the business.

About You

You will have proven experience managing large-volume payrolls from start to finish and be confident handling complex payroll calculations, deductions, and benefits. You will have a strong understanding of payroll legislation and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

As a Payroll Lead, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Managing the end-to-end payroll process across the entire group
• Processing large and complex payrolls accurately and on time
• Calculating and administering all payroll deductions and employee benefits
• Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, and company policies
• Managing statutory payments, pensions, and year-end payroll processes
• Reconciling payroll data and resolving payroll queries
• Working closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls
• Producing payroll reports and supporting internal stakeholders with payroll information

What the client has to offer

• A salary level £35,00 to £45,000 per annum 
• Hybrid
