  • Responding to payroll queries professionally and within agreed service levels
  • Onboarding new payroll clients and ensuring data is transferred accurately
  • Liaising with HMRC regarding payroll-related matters and employer payments
  • Processing timesheets and payroll calculations for hourly-paid employees
  • Supporting payrolls involving tips, overtime and variable pay arrangements
  • Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation
  • Using payroll systems and technology to improve efficiency and delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance client service
  • Working closely with colleagues across payroll, advisory and other internal teams
  • Supporting month-end payroll periods and peak processing deadlines

About you

You will be an organised and detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys building client relationships and delivering a high standard of service. You'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working independently and embracing new technology and systems.

What the client is looking for

  • Previous payroll experience gained within a payroll bureau, accountancy practice or outsourced payroll environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills
  • Good organisational and time management skills
