Citadel Source is partnering with a large, nationally recognised, multi-site organisation to appoint a well-rounded Finance leader to work in their local head office in the South West.

The role

This is a high-profile leadership role, reporting into the CFO and partnering closely with senior operational stakeholders across the business. The successful candidate will provide strategic financial leadership across several significant operating divisions, helping to drive performance, support growth initiatives and shape the long-term direction of the organisation. Alongside divisional finance leadership, the role will oversee key planning and performance management processes, including budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning. The position also carries responsibility for leading a sizeable finance team and ensuring the business has the insight, controls and governance required to achieve its objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys operating close to the business, influencing senior stakeholders and driving tangible operational and financial improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance partner to executive leadership teams
• Provide strategic financial leadership across multiple business areas
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities
• Drive commercial performance through financial insight, challenge, and decision support
• Support strategic investment decisions, business transformation initiatives, and growth opportunities
• Evaluate business cases and support corporate development activity where required
• Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and risk management frameworks
• Lead, develop and mentor a sizeable finance function
• Drive continuous improvement across reporting, planning, and financial processes
• Contribute to wider organisational strategy as a member of the senior finance leadership team

About you

You will be a qualified accountant with a track record of operating in senior finance leadership positions within large, complex organisations.

You will bring:

• Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.
• Experience supporting operationally focused businesses.
• A background in budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
• The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• A pragmatic, hands-on approach coupled with strong strategic thinking.
• Experience operating within large, multi-site environments.

What the client offers

• Competitive base salary of between £135,000 and £160,000
• Bonus of up to 50%
• Pension contribution
• 4 days on site
