Citadel Source is pleased to be working with an organisation in the South Somerset area to recruit a Finance Manager on an 18–24 month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

The business is a well-established UK manufacturer with a strong heritage and a great reputation for developing and delivering high-quality, innovative products to both UK and international markets. As part of a larger international group, it benefits from solid global backing while still operating with a distinct UK base.

To be considered for this role, you should be available immediately or on very short notice.

About You

This role is ideal for someone with experience managing month-end processes, day-to-day transactional finance, and direct engagement with budget holders within an SME environment. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and reporting skills. Ideally, you will be AAT-qualified or part/fully ACCA/CIMA-qualified

The Role

Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you will play an integral part in delivering an effective, high-quality Finance function. Your responsibilities will include a broad range of tasks, including month-end close, payroll, managing payables and receivables, banking, and other financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process
• Perform variance analysis against budget
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Manage Payroll
• Review and submit VAT returns
• Manage Fixed Assets

What the Client Offers

• Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
• Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
• Parking available
