Citadel Source are supporting a well-established brand in the Cheltenham area in the appointment of a Junior Management Accountant.

About you

You will be a hands-on, driven individual with a strong work ethic, taking pride in achieving both your own and team goals. You will be committed, enthusiastic, and an excellent communicator, able to work effectively as part of a team and manage your own workload. You will be AAT-qualified or CIMA/ACCA part-qualified, with strong Excel skills and previous experience supporting month end. You will have excellent attention to detail, a good understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to analyse financial information and identify variances.

The role

The Junior Management Accountant will work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information. You will be responsible for supporting the month-end financial close, managing a portfolio of balance sheet reconciliations, preparing weekly updates for senior leadership, and providing financial analysis.

As a Junior Management Accountant, your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end processes
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management
• Assist with improving financial processes and controls
